Ardenstur Estate
Welcome to Ardenstur Estate
With its headland and bay it is an area of 150 acres available for visitors to roam and enjoy the foreshore. Nearby is Melfort Farm, whose boundaries join Ardenstur. Here a fine example of sheep farming can be seen.
Nature can be explored with nearby fresh water lochs in the hills whose fishing rights may be available to visitors on application to the post office, and also a private fresh water loch available only with our permission. Many other lochs abound in the area.
Facilities
Stores are readily available at the village shop and post office in Kilmelford (Tel: 01852 200271) approximately 3 miles along the road. The yacht station and Cuilfail Hotel are similarly placed. The cottages all have electric heating, microwave cooker, electric cooker, fridge and TV with a well placed solid fuel fire.
Additional facilities special to individual cottages are also available in some locations, such as DVD players and washing machines. An initial supply of coal is included in the weekly charge. Linen, bedding, towels crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and such essentials are provided. Permission should be sought before bringing animals. Parking is available outside all cottages. All furnishings are to a high standard with fitted carpets throughout. Cots are available but no linen is provided for these.
